My colleague, Jason Caldwell, and I launched an entirely new type of leadership and teamwork development program with our clients at Roche. Nicknamed “WOW! to how.”, we have translated the extraordinary into the everyday. Specifically, we integrate inspiring stories (and video) of world-class adventurer expeditions [the “WOW!”] with practical frameworks and tools participants can apply in their corporate jobs [the “how.”]. Examples include Jason’s own team-rowing exploits as the world-record holder in two ocean crossings, as well as other adventurer/colleagues – including Conrad Anker’s experience as a premier mountain climber, Emily Harrington’s feat free-climbing El Capitan in less than 24 hours, among others. These programs have received the highest levels of praise from participants.
